I participated in a student ran Game Jam during the summer of 2017. The topic of choice for the Game Jam was to create a game that revolved around or used the idea of "Safe Space". I joined the team as a a designer as well as lead artist. The games premise was to get your companion president "Snowflake" through a crowd of angry protesters, which consisted of people who did and did not agree with him on certain topics. Your objective was to ensure you kept "Snowflake" happy by keeping him surrounded by people he agreed with, as well as chasing off people he didn't agree with. You did this by using specific items that attracted NPCs toward and away from him or yourself, as well as scare NPCs away. I helped come up with the idea for the item system and how they attracted and repelled certain NPCs.
I also created the games character designs, which i received a reward for and recognition for my work.
